Chi-Chi’s is situated just close enough to a lot of Brussels highlights to allow it to sit as a trap for British and US tourists unwilling to brave local cuisine. It has a chain feel, reminiscent of Chili’s (some research indicates Chi-Chi’s was a US chain which went out of business in the States around the time they were responsible for a Hep A outbreak!) . However, the food isn’t as good as Chili’s… It suffers the usual Brussels problem of not being spicy or flavoursome enough, although with an awful lot of prompting you can get the staff to bring more chillies. Also, who puts lettuce into a burrito before heating it in a oven? However, their quesadilla was OK.

There’s an all-you-can-eat buffet for €12.50; happy hour is between 15.00 and 18.00 for deals on cocktails.
