The Burleigh Arms has undergone a bit of a makeover in the past 2 years, with the beer garden tidied up. It does a nice range of beers and wine, and has traditional pub food. Inside it is quite polished, with a central double sided bar. The staff are very friendly, though recently there has been a high turnover and some of the service ranges from bad to weird.
My veggie burger was made of mushroom and kidney beans and was topped with blue cheese and mayo, served in a nice bread roll with thin chips and coleslaw. It was a little mushy, but had good flavour and felt like the patty was made fresh. Very filling. The gourmet steak burger had thick chips and coleslaw and came with bacon, smoked cheese, salad and beetroot in a brioche bun. My friend liked all but the beetroot.
On other visits, I have had the halloumi and rocket ciabatta, which was generously filled with both, and my fiancée enjoyed the large portion of gammon, egg and chips.
