More bad photos for this one, I’m afraid. The Panton Arms is a fairly old pub in Cambridge. Popular with locals and students, it serves burgers at a flat rate – £10 for burger and chips, 11.50 for burger and salad. For this you get either a chicken, beef or veggie burger, done in one of 8 or so styles. These are OK, if not exciting. Staff were down to earth. There is a tv which shows football most days of the week. Acceptable experience, no more, no less, and a place we often watch a match in the evenings.
My veggie ‘good old cheese’ burger came with three types of indeterminate cheese slice, gherkins, tomato, mustard, burger sauce and onions. Strangely vinegary, otherwise fine. Friends had chicken ‘Desperate Dan’ (with BBQ bacon), and beef ‘Full House’ (with bacon, mushrooms and Stilton), which they thought were OK, though the Stilton merited a mention.
