Both of us like champagne, both like looking at nice buildings, both love boats (well, one does, the other is kind enough to risk sea sickness for me), so a champagne tasting river cruise seemed like a trip we could enjoy.
This one was supplied by Vedettes de Paris, at a cost of 60 Euro per person, and involved an hour or so cruising on the river taking in the waterside sights, while tasting three champagnes in the company of sommelier and guide Vincent.
We left from the Port de Suffren, beside the Eiffel Tower, navigated along the Seine until just after the Notre Dame cathedral and returned. The champagne was good (well, 2 out of 3), the tour was informative as were the details on the wines, and the boat ride was smooth. We had a great time, and the 18 or so fellow tasters seemed to, too.
This is another tip where I will let the photos speak.
