One in a series of transfers of my former home town. Aromi is a small chain of 3 Sicilian cafes in Cambridge, which are nearly always very busy. We went to the one on Fitzroy Street. As you walk in there is an array of half prepared pizzas, breads, and other food, which you select and they heat for you. The staff are either very friendly or very unfriendly, depending who you get!
The tables are crammed in, so it is a bit of a squash. Food was OK to good, and I would like to try some more of their pizza options, perhaps to takeaway as it isn’t really worth sitting in.
We had spinach arancino (stuffed risotto – very nice, salty and spinachy), ragu arancino (pork, egg, peas and tomato sauce filled risotto ball – wife really liked it), and a Cipriani sandwich (bread with smoked cheese, onion and mushroom. Bit dull).
