Another mini-one. Vue cinema at the Grafton Centre in Cambridge has come under pressure in recent years from a resurgent Picture House and a reasonably new cinema at the Cambridge Leisure Park, along with sub-standard surrounding facilities. It has responded well, by bringing in the most comfortable (fully-reclining!) seats I have ever used in a cinema and by gaining a license to sell alcohol. The booze is at reasonable prices for Cambridge, too. Screens aren’t huge, but the slope is good. So for £11, it is the best value cinema in town. Nice to lie back and watch a film with a pint beside you.
